Bethlehem to be the Capital of Arab Culture for 2020

Bethlehem University held a press conference on Wednesday, 16 October 2019, to announce its projects for the celebrations of Bethlehem as the Capital of Arab Culture for 2020.
Executive Vice President Dr. Michael Sansour, Chairman of the Bethlehem University Committee for the Bethlehem 2020 celebrations, gave a brief speech on the cultural significance of this event to enhance the Palestinian Arab identity.
Dr. Sansour added that the University is working on various activities for the coming year which will include producing visual and print materials, holding conferences, and festivals.
Committee members presented in more detail the activities that will be held next year and announced the “Bethlehem University Prize for Arabic Fiction” which will be part of the events.
