Noha Sobhi

Noha Sobhi is a story writer, playwright and screenwriter, born in Cairo. She won the Best Book Award at the Cairo International Book Fair 2020 for her first collection of short stories, "Asfad al-Rouh", and the Best Theatrical Performance Award at the Romance Theater Festival for the play "Once Upon a Time One Lived", and was shortlisted for the Tunisian Abu al-Qasim al-Shabi Competition for the play "Return to the Cocoon" and the play "Honey Confinement" at the Carthage Monodrama Festival and the Experimental Theater Festival in Cairo. She has published four short story collections: "Asfad al-Rouh", "Al-Khayala", "Soft Claws", and "Don Juana". In theater she wrote: "Return to the Cocoon", "Suicide of the Clockwork Scorpions", and "Honey Confinement", which has been translated into five languages, and "Stalker", a short illustrated novel.
She is a member of the jury of theatrical texts at the Cairo International Forum for University Theater, and member of the jury of the New Writings Series at the Egyptian General Book Authority.
