Ahmed Fadl Shablool is an Egyptian writer born in Alexandria. He graduated from the Faculty of Commerce, Alexandria University. He received the prize of the Supreme Council of Culture - Literary and Critical Studies Division in 1999 for his research "Children's Literature Technology” and the State Incentive Award for Literature in 2007. In 2019 he was awarded the State Prize for Excellence in Literature. He received an honorary doctorate in arts in 2020.
He has thirteen published volumes of poetry, the last of which is: Hide in My Chest - The Egyptian General Book Authority 2017. He writes for children and has issued nine books in this field, the latest of which is the book “I and Here” - the Egyptian General Book Organization 2020.
He writes literary and critical studies and has 19 printed books in this field, the latest of which is: “Ocean and Khaleej .. Twenty Arabic Novels.”
He has written six novels so far: Editor-in-Chief 2017 - The Lover Water 2018 - The Lover Color 2018 - The last night in Mahmoud Saeed’s life 2020. The Lover Stone 2020 and the last night in the life of Naguib Mahfouz.
He issued some Arabic dictionaries as well, including: Dictionary of Time, A simplified dictionary of early things and A dictionary of childhood poets in the Arab world during the twentieth century.
Some of his poetry and articles have been translated into multiple languages.
